I must apologize. I am a bit challenged with technology but I am trying not to fight it but learn it and use it to my and others benefits. Take blogging. It easy but until my good friend Karl Kasca or Kaska and associates enlightened me to the benefits of blogging, well, it was something I was going to get around to. So Here goes. My venture into blogging. I want to bring more frequent and timely bits of information to help others with their health solutions. In my practice I have seen that LIFESTYLE is the culprit and the cure. Bad lifestyle, bad health. Solution, better lifestyle, better health. Its as simple as that and it is hidden in plain sight!
Health is not stagnant. You are either getting better or worse. With the beginning of spring we thing growth, rejuvination, cleaning, out with the old and in with the new. How about a "Spring Cleaning" of your body. How is this done? Well try putting only good things in it. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, cold water fish and plenty of clean water and air. Stop the toxic products from entering. Smoking, excess alcohol. over the counter, prescription or illegal drugs. Red meat, sugar, preservatives, fried foods, bad air. How about your thoughts, positive and uplifting or negative and depressing? Are you spending more time being right or kind. Little things such as this can go a long way to detoxify your body and mind. Try it, you'll like it.
In reviewing a book, The 100 year lifestyle, by Eric Plasker, I was reminded of the social, emotional, physical and financial considerations of living that long. Are you preparedto live 35 years after you retire? How will you pay for everything? Who will take care of you if you can't. The old saying, "If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself," has a new meaning because it is very relevent. Well the answer is you can start today by making better choices. if you did three simple things and for most of us just 2 simple things, many problems can be eiminated. 1. Quit smoking if you smoke 2. Eat sensibly, smaller portion and healthier food. 3. Exercise daily. Do something, walk, run, bike, swim, garden, dance, just move!
Did you know that it is more than likley that you will live beyond your life expectancy? In fact you may live to be 100. Are you prepared for that? Financially how will you pay your bills? Emotionally, who will you close to? Socially, will you be among others or isolated? Spirtually, why will you get up every morning? Physically, will you thrive until 100 or barely hold on? If you knew for certain right now that you would live to be 100 years old, what would you do right now to ensure that the rest of the journey would be positive?
Today I read some very inspiring words in the bible and then at church the message was driven home in the sermon. We can choose the benefit or the curse. In day to day activities we have to make choices. They can either benefit us or they can curse us. In regards to health this can be the choice to eat health or not. To exercise or be lazy. To cultivate good habits or bad ones. Either way we either benefit ourselves o r we curse ourselves. It is as simpe as that.
Your posture is so important. It is so prominent that it says alot about you. Think about it when you are happy, confident, healthy, how do you look, walk, and move? When you are sad, depressed or worried, how do you look? Your posture can reflect how you feel but it can also influence. So next time you feel bad, improve your posture. Stand up straight, throw your shoulders back. put your shin up and walk like you feel great. Soon you will.
Back in July I complied with the new law of having a hands free cell phone while driving. I bought a blue tooth device and actually figured out how to connect it the first time!
And it worked.
So I have been using it for the past 3 months and in mid August/September I started to get these weird pains, headaches that would show up briefly or last a while. I never get headaches so this was strange.
I received adjustments, massage and therapy and it helped. However they returned.
2 weeks ago a business partner asked to me to evaluate a product his wife was promoting so I said sure. The company was BIOPRO and they had technology to help eliminate the damaging electro-pollution for cell phone, blue tooth, computers, wireless technology, portable phones, microwaves, etc….
I met with representatives and they told me about the problem of electro-pollution. I had read the reports but never paid that much attention. Then this 100 pound woman said stand up. Hold your arms out in front of you and clasp your hands. She then said resist me and she pressed down. I resisted her easily. She then said put your cell phone in your pocket. I did and she then said resist me now. I couldn’t. She pressed my arms down with the greatest of ease. I then took the phone out my pocket and she tested me again. Strong. With the phone weak. What the…….?
I know that things that are good for your body strengthen you and things that are bad weaken you. Maybe with this Blue Tooth and my cell phone along with the TV, microwave, electronic alarm clock, lights, computers, power lines….I have been living in a polluted environment.
I then applied one of the BIOPRO technology chips to my phone and was tested again with and without my phone. Both strong, so I started using the technology on my phone and blue tooth. Guess what? No more headaches.
This really made me think about my patients over the years who have headaches, neck pain, mood disorders, chemical imbalances, behavior problems who when they went on vacation felt so much better only to have the problems return when they returned home or when they returned to work.
May be the electro-pollution they/we are all living in is having a more serious effect on our lives than we think.
