How Much Time Do You Have Left?

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU HAVE LEFT?
When we were young it seemed like it took forever for time to go by. The school day never ended, the summer vacation was never going to come and don't even talk about Christmas.
Now it seems like it goes to fast. Birthdays, deadlines and don't even talk about Christmas.
So this might be a good time to look at how much time you have left.
If you are 50 years of age, and you are in good health, the chances of you living 35 to 40 years more is pretty good. The fact is people are living longer than ever, whether they want to or not!
So to figure out how much time you have left we'll take the age of 85 as our standard. Subtract your age from 85. Take that number and multiply it by .30 or 30 percent. Subtract that number from the 85 minus your age. Why, because 30 percent of your time is spent asleep. Now take 20 percent of that number and subtract it because that will be the time you will be looking for your keys, waiting, brushing your teeth, taking a shower, washing the dishes, eating, etc . . .
This will give you a number which is your estimated time left to accomplish your life's work. Here is an example.
If you are 50, subtract that from 85 and you get 35. 30 percent of 35 is 10.5. 35 minus 10.5 is 24.5. 20 percent of 24.5 is 4.9 or 5. This leaves 19.5 years left out of 35 to accomplish your life's work.
The quality and quantity of that time will be affected by your preparation. Are you physically, financially, mentally, and emotionally prepared to live to 85 or beyond?
Taking an inventory of how much time you have left can give you a better perspective of your life and how you want to live it. Live it well and live it strong.
