When Your 401(k) Recovers, Will you be Able to Enjoy it?

People react to stress in different ways. When you squeeze an orange you get orange juice, an apple, apple juice, grapes . . . you get the picture. You don't get orange juice out of an apple. When the pressure is on, what you are made of comes out.
With the current economy, budget crisis, unemployment, stock market performance, many people react to these outside stressors in different ways.
Some take inventory and start budgeting, saving, streamlining, and adapting. Some become bitter, afraid and lash out by participating in destructive behaviors.
Everything goes in cycles and when things get better, will you be prepared to enjoy it and thrive or will you have destroyed yourself so that when things get better, you'll have to repair the damage before you can enjoy yourself?
The squirrel in summer and fall prepares for winter. In winter, they know that spring is around the corner. There is a time for the season, an action that is appropriate for the time to prepare for what is ahead.
Eating correctly taking in fresh fruits and vegetables and minimizing animal protein and eliminating junk food, soda's, candy, smoking and excess alcohol is not only a great way to care for your body but is cost effective. Regular exercise is a great stress reliever and going for a walk is very inexpensive and a great way to connect with others if performed together. Bike riding, hiking, yoga, dancing, and gardening all build health and relieve stress.
Research has shown that people that eat correctly, exercise regularly, get proper rest, have good posture and a great attitude, along with having their spine checked for alignment, flexibility and full function, enjoy a higher degree of health and deal with stress more effectively.
In times of uncertainty do things that you know will build health and protect your self so that when things become more stable, you will be prepared to enjoy them.
